Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of Kith, a free web app for tracking job applications, operated by Katja Sostar (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
Kith lets you track job applications, store documents such as CVs and cover letters, and plan follow-ups. It is free of charge. We may improve, change or add features over time.
2. Your account
You need a valid email address or Google account to sign in. Keep access to your email and Google account secure, as anyone with access to them can sign in to Kith. An account is for one person.
3. Your content
Everything you add stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only as needed to run the app for you. Only upload documents you are entitled to use, and avoid storing other people’s personal data beyond what you need for your applications.
4. Fair use
To keep Kith free, each account can store up to 50 documents and 250 MB. Please do not:
- upload illegal content, malware or content that infringes others’ rights;
- try to access other users’ data or disrupt the service;
- access the service with automated tools beyond normal use, or resell it.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why where we can.
5. Availability
We work to keep Kith available and your data safe, but as a free service we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Please keep your own copies of important documents. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your data.
6. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for slight negligence. Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using Kith at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing kat.sostar@gmail.com.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will tell you in advance in the app or by email. If you do not agree with the changes, you can delete your account before they take effect.
9. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Austria, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
